Loughros (Owenea/Owentocker) estuary commercial salmon draft net fishing season 2022
Inland Fisheries Ireland is seeking submissions in relation to a proposal to restrict the commercial salmon draft net season on the Loughros estuary, Co. Donegal in 2022 to fishing between the 1st July and 21st July
This public consultation opens on Thursday, 27/01/2022 at 6:00am and closes on Friday, 18/02/2022 at 5:00pm
Inland Fisheries Ireland is seeking submissions in relation to a proposal to restrict the commercial salmon draft net season on the Loughros estuary, Co. Donegal in 2022 to fishing between the 1st July and 21st July.
The proposed changes are to reflect the limited overall salmon quota available for 2022 and the number of commercial draft nets available. An overall surplus of 340 salmon has been advised for 2022 to be divided between the commercial draft net and recreational angling sectors.
The commercial draft net season for the fishery normally opens on the 12th May and closes on the 31st July.
