River Suir commercial snap net salmon fishing season 2013
Inland Fisheries Ireland is seeking submissions in relation to a proposal to bring forward the open date for the restricted commercial Snap Net salmon fishing season. The 2012 season was restricted to fishing between the 1st of July and the 15th of August. The proposed 2013 season will be restricted to fishing between the 17th of June and the 15th of August. The proposed changes are to reflect the relative increase in salmon quota since 2012 and will not affect the 2013 quota allocated to the commercial snap net sector. The full snap net season normally opens on the 12th of May and closes on the 15th of August.
