What’s it all about?

Inland Fisheries Ireland’s "Why I love to fish" Competition is an initiative to get more people to spread the word about fishing by sharing a short video clip of their fishing adventures online and telling the world what angling means to them and to promote our Go Fishing Week. We want everyone to get involved as individuals but you can also incorporate your family, friends or club into your video.  Inspire more people to go fishing by sharing your story of how you got involved and why you keep going back for more!

The overall winner will receive fishing tackle to the value of €100 and we also have goodie bags for runners up and special categories.

This competition is open to everyone over 18 years of age. If your video includes children then only a parent/guardian may submit the content.
