Data subject access request

Individuals have the right under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), subject to certain exemptions, to have access to their personal records that are held by Inland Fisheries Ireland. This is known as a ‘Subject Access Request’ (SAR).

There is no cost involved for submitting a SAR only where the request is deemed manifestly unfounded or excessive. All requests shall be responded to within 30 calendar days of receipt of the request however, this may be extended by up to two months (60 calendar days) if the SAR is complex and/or numerous requests are made. Sufficient information to be able to locate the record or information requested must also be provided.
